  • My insurance company told me I must get more than one estimate. Is that true?

No. Quotes for car repairs and repainting are simply an initial assessment of the work to be done. An experienced auto body shop should be able to give you a fair estimate of the labor and parts. Then, the shop’s staff will help you work through the insurance claims process. It’s possible that the actual cost of the work is higher than initially quoted if further damage is found once the car is disassembled.
  • Is it difficult to repair a bumper?

No, but it’s more complex than you might think. To repair a bumper, the auto body technician must first assess the damage. The job will likely require parts to be ordered; these may include sensors or cameras that are integrated into newer models. Often bumper repairs or replacements require at least a small amount of paint work and other related repairs. Read more about bumper repairs.
  • Why is the car interior removed before painting?

Many people don’t know that auto body shops have to remove everything inside the vehicle before beginning to paint. This is done in order to protect the interior components and ensure a perfect finish for the paint job. Read more about preparing a car for painting and our quality paint work.
  • Can you match the paint color?

Yes. We use the color code that comes with your particular car make and model to match the paint color exactly. Learn more about car paint quality.
  • Can a totaled car be repaired?

Yes. If you’re not ready to part with a totaled car, it can still be fixed. Once it has been assessed, you can accept the payout from the insurance. Then, you can find an auto body shop that you trust to do the repair work. Read on about how to handle a totaled car.
  • Does my insurance cover hail damage?

Most standard no-fault auto insurance policies don’t cover hail damage, but comprehensive insurance should cover damage from natural disasters. If you’re unsure, we would be happy to help find out how your coverage works.
  • How long will it take to have my car repainted?

We hope to get you back on the road as soon as possible. Generally, it takes us 3 days to a week to complete the car repainting and curing process. Learn more about the main factors to consider before having your car painted.
  • How long will my repairs take?

Our goal is to get you back on the road as soon as possible without any extra headaches. Repair time varies on the services needed and shipping time for any parts that are ordered. We will give you an estimate for when your car will be ready and let you know if plans change.
  • What kind of insurance is accepted in Pennsylvania?

In Pennsylvania, drivers can choose from add on, tort liability, choice no-fault and no-fault car insurance. Learn more about insurance options in our state.
  • Is there a warranty on the repairs to my vehicle?

Yes. Badell’s provides a lifetime warranty for all our work, including car painting, repairs and replacements. My insurance company said I have to take my car to one of their repair facilities. Is that true? No. Your car insurance company has a list of body shops, usually bigger chain businesses, with which they are more accustomed to working. You don’t have to choose from this list. We are happy to work with your insurance provider to get everything handled right. Learn more about insurance recommendations and car insurance coverage.
